![]() Usage : Select pictures, Right-click > open with. This function, which you can name 'Eport Exif', will create a text file for each selected pictures, containing its exif data. You would like to change XMP categories with. Batch convert doesnt use this setting (only when setting categories). The information from the XMP or the database will not be transferred to the new image. I'd be very happy to receive some indication as to where to look for some instructions. For this first example, you can write this code in the Parameter field : Code: Select all. But when I export this image with batch processing, the new image does not contain any categories. In xnview these test images have xmp AND IPTC info (while the other images, the ones I didn't manipulate, do not have IPTC). When I did that on a few images as a test, and checked the result in Geeqie, the keywords were lost, though they stayed correctly assigned within xnview. in a file name by pressing Right Alt and S my command results with a pop-up of window entitled Export How do I turn off / change this shortcut It is not even officially listed. I would like the modified keywords to be written to the existing xmp sidecar (for the svg images) and updated in the embedded xmp data (for PNGs). Support PSD (Photoshop format) images Add hotkey D to edit image Description/Comment Add hotkey E to open with the first external program Add Terminate. Ask for help and post your question on how to use XnView MP. And also to check: "Update or create xmp sidecar". I assumed I needed to check "Export db category to xmp subject and iptc keyword" and then untick "Create iptc data". I am very confused about how to set up the export options. However, in the view, keywords or categories are visible only for the PNGs, but not for the SVGs. ![]() ![]() In Settings>Metadata>IPTS&XMP I selected "Import xmp subject or iptc keyword to db categories" and all the keywords/categories got correctly imported - at least it looks so in the sidebar window (the one with "Folders", "Favorites" and "Categories Filter"). As I intend to use XnView in addition to other image managers, I am (for now) not interested in using the xnview database exclusively, but have the keywords (re)embedded in files (or sidecars). They are non-hierarchical, but just simple single-level keywords. My aim is to use XnView to rename these existing keywords/categories, while everything else needs to stays the same. XnView MP is an image browser, viewer, manager, and converter which runs on multiple platforms like Windows, MacOS, and Linux. The SVG files have their keyword metadata in xmp sidecars (created in Geeqie) and PNGs have their keywords embedded in the file itself (probably as xmp). ![]() I have 30k+ images in SVG and PNG format. As a Linux user I normally use Geeqie, which is simpler than XnView, but has some (small) drawbacks. ![]()
